Government Polytechnic, Ambad is one of newly established institute in Maharashtra State in the year 2009 by Department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra to impart technical education and inculcate technical skills among rural masses for their sustainable development making them competent to be entrepreneurs so that they will provide effective and efficient services to the society. The institute has capacity to groom more than 420 students in various engineering fields every year. The institute is located near Mhada Colony, Pachod road (State Highway 61), Ambad, Dist. Jalna. Ambad is located on Jalna Beed road, 28 km from Jalna Railway station. Ambad is notable for its temple dedicated to the goddess Matsyodari.
