Government Polytechnic Ambad is a well known institute working in the era of value aided technical education. For Academics,Curriculum, Examination purpose this institute is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. Recently all Polytechnics in Maharashtra are implementing I- Scheme which follows the philosophy of Outcome Based Education (OBE)for their Curriculum provided by MSBTE,  Mumbai. 

     MSBTE pattern is a semester pattern , so students enrolled for any programme of the institute have to pass and clear the six semesters Examination for getting Diploma Engineering Certificate.The Curriculum of all programmes of MSBTE, Mumbai are designed by expertise committee. 

     The Examination  pattern includes 70-30 Marks pattern. The 30 marks are the internal marks based on Average of the two progressive class test conducted within the semester and also on marks given to microproject of the student.The final examination of 70 Marks of both even and odd semester will be conducted by MSBTE ,Mumbai. So 70 Marks of Theory paper and 30 internal marks gives the score out of 100 Marks for each . Internal Institute Monitoring is conducted twice in year whereas External Institute Monitoring is conducted once in a year as per MSBTE Norms and Excellent, Very Good, Good, Satisfactory grade is assigned to respective programme as per their performance. 

     Lab manuals for conducting Practicals are provided by MSBTE, Mumbai. This institute follows all rules and regulations of MSBTE, Mumbai for the Academic purpose.
